Bharat Electronics has announced a board meeting to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year.

The company was fined Rs. 10.07 lakh each by NSE and BSE for not having enough Independent Directors due to government control over appointments.

BEL is coordinating with the government to fill these vacancies and plans to seek waiver of the fines.

The financial impact from these penalties is expected to be minimal if the waiver is denied.
