Organic Recycling Systems Limited has announced a collaboration with IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur to develop a BioCCUS platform aimed at capturing and converting CO₂ emissions from biogas plants into biofuels and biochemicals.

The initiative uses an anaerobic digester processing Napier grass, where the CO₂-rich output is converted via algal cultivation and photocatalytic methods to produce bio-oils, nutraceuticals, and mixed alcohols for green fuels.

This integrated biorefinery supports zero-waste operations, enhances carbon circularity, and aligns with India’s Net Zero 2070 and energy security goals, reinforcing ORSL’s leadership in sustainable bioenergy solutions.
