JK Tyre has announced a board meeting on its planned 26% equity investment of Rs 1.22 Crore in STTY RE Ltd, a newly incorporated company focused on solar power generation.

STTY will develop a 5 MWp captive solar power project for JK Tyre, funding the entire capex of around Rs 15.59 Crore.

This partnership allows JK Tyre to secure solar energy at a competitive market rate for 25 years, supporting its sustainability goals and reducing energy costs.

Post-investment, STTY will be an associate company, marking JK Tyre’s strategic entry into renewable power sourcing.
