Hitech Corporation received an order from Gandhinagar stamp authorities demanding stamp duty of Rs. 0.26 Cr and a fine of Rs. 1.59 Cr, totaling Rs. 1.85 Cr.

The demand pertains to a 2006 slump sale agreement involving properties which later merged into Hitech.

The company had previously paid stamp duty on this transaction in Maharashtra.

Hitech Corporation plans to appeal this order, emphasizing that there is no material financial or operational impact from this development.
