Bihar Sponge Iron Limited has announced a board meeting where it approved the financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, reporting a profit of Rs. 2.12 Cr.

The board also proposed the re-appointment of Mrs. Kumkum Modi as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, subject to shareholder approval.

New Secretarial Auditors were appointed for five years, and Cost and Internal Auditors were re-appointed for FY2025-26. Auditors noted unprovided penalties of Rs. 2.15 Cr from SECL for coal short-lifting, with the company pursuing legal recourse.

Unquantified promoter loan settlements and unprovided interest of Rs. 82.73 Cr on a government loan, pending waiver, were also highlighted.
