Tata Power is set to acquire a 40% equity stake, investing approximately ₹1,572 Cr, in an upcoming Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). This SPV will develop the significant 1125 MW Dorjilung Hydro Power Project in Bhutan, with an overall project cost of around ₹13,100 Cr.

This strategic acquisition directly supports Tata Power's goal to accelerate its clean and green energy transition.

By adding substantial hydro capacity, the company enhances its renewable energy portfolio and strengthens its footprint in the power sector.
