LIC delivered a strong 9M FY26, with Profit After Tax soaring by 16.68% to ₹33,998 Cr.

Total Premium Income grew 9.02% to ₹3,71,293 Cr, driven by robust performance in Group Business (+13.56%) and Individual New Business (+5.89%). The Solvency Ratio improved to 2.19, and Assets Under Management increased 8.01% to ₹59,16,680 Cr.

The Value of New Business (VNB) Margin expanded to 18.8%, up 1.7 percentage points, reflecting a strategic shift towards higher-margin products.

A key growth driver is the increased focus on Non-Participating products, with individual Non-Par Annualized Premium Equivalent (APE) surging 47.44% and ULIP APE jumping 102.59%. This has boosted Non-Par's share in individual APE to 36.46%. LIC is also enhancing its omni-channel distribution, with Bancassurance & Alternate Channels seeing a 66.74% rise in Individual NBP.

Recent developments include the launch of 8 new products and the successful Bima Sakhi Yojana, which recruited 2.97 lakh women agents and generated ₹1,872.84 Cr in New Business Premium, predominantly from rural areas.

The company is actively pursuing digital transformation, including a new Datalake platform and enhancements to the ANANDA App, aiming for operational efficiencies and improved customer experience.
