Bharat Electronics (BEL) established a 50:50 Joint Venture with France's Safran Electronics and Defence for Project HAMMER.

The JV will create a 'Center of Excellence' in Pune to manufacture/maintain HAMMER Weapon System's Guidance Kits for Indian defense, with authorized capital up to 10 Cr.
