Bengal Tea & Fabrics Limited's Board has approved signing a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire the Nya Gogra Tea Estate, a unit of Mcleod Russell India Limited, located in Assam.

This strategic acquisition, for approximately Rs. 45.00 crore in cash, is expected to enhance the company's production, turnover, and profitability in the tea sector.

The Tea Estate specializes in manufacturing Black Tea.

Completion is subject to necessary third-party and regulatory clearances.
