SEBI has issued a significant order against Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd. and its key executives for extensive financial misreporting.
The company allegedly diverted ₹99.48 crore and recorded ₹143.05 crore in fictitious revenue and ₹173.54 crore in fictitious purchases from FY2013-14 to FY2015-16. More recently, it manipulated financials by recognizing ₹47.67 crore in fake revenue from FY2022-23 to FY2024-25. Additionally, the company failed to pay ₹6.18 crore in declared dividends.
Consequently, the company and its Managing Director face a three-year market ban, while other directors and the CFO receive two-year bans.
All involved also incur substantial monetary penalties.
This action underscores SEBI's commitment to protecting investors from misleading financial disclosures and upholding market integrity.
