Cholamandalam Finance reported strong Q1 FY27 results.
Disbursements surged 22% to ₹29,612 Cr, with Assets Under Management (AUM) growing 22% to ₹2,33,586 Cr.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) jumped 45% to ₹2,220 Cr, and Profit After Tax (PAT) rose 46% to ₹1,654 Cr.
Net Interest Margin (NIM) improved to 8.2%, and Return on Equity (ROE) reached 21.2%. While Gross Stage 3 assets slightly increased to 3.29%, overall asset quality remains a focus.
Growth was broad-based, with significant PBT contributions from Vehicle Finance (+50%), MSME (+44%), and Consumer Ecosystems (+78%). Strategic focus areas include calibrated portfolio expansion, deep market penetration in semi-urban/rural areas, and leveraging analytics for direct customer engagement.
The company is actively driving digital transformation, implementing AI-driven solutions across its lending and collection processes, and recently launched a Gold loan business, expanding its offerings and network to 2,508 locations.
