Tata Power has acquired 100% equity in Ryapte Power Transmission Ltd (RPTL) for ₹ 10.87 crore.

This strategic move strengthens Tata Power's transmission business by adding critical infrastructure.

RPTL is a Special Purpose Vehicle established to build, own, operate, and transfer a ~250 km transmission line route and associated substations across Karnataka.

This acquisition enhances the company's asset base and expands its footprint in the regional power grid, boosting operational capabilities in power transmission.

The project aims for commercial operation in 30 months.
