Sanofi India reported a strong Q2, primarily driven by its diabetes unit, which saw over 14% growth and 17% for the half-year.
Total income for the quarter rose 7%, with sales up 6%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased 19% to INR 112 Cr from INR 94 Cr, supported by a 5% drop in operating expenses.
Management expects sustained diabetes momentum through innovation and public sector expansion.
Partnership business growth remained modest at 2%, attributed to prior-year inventory adjustments and market competition, with a goal to reach market-led growth by 2027. The company focuses on financial discipline and exploring diabetes-related technology.
