Quality Power delivered strong Q1 FY27 results with total income hitting ₹256.4 crore, up 32.1% year-on-year.
Profit after tax (before a non-cash accounting adjustment for its Turkish operations) rose 46.9% YoY to ₹54.5 crore, reflecting a richer product mix towards high-voltage and power quality systems, boosting gross margin to 47.2%. Strategically, the company plans to acquire Winwin Speciality Insulators (WSIL) for ₹315 crore, expanding its high-voltage insulator portfolio up to 1200 kV.
Capacity expansions are also progressing for instrument transformers in Turkey for European markets, and a new coil factory in Sangli is nearing trial production.
Recent developments include securing ₹104.9 crore in new orders across high-voltage reactors (US data center), a FACTS system (Japan), and 400 kV instrument transformers.
The robust order book stands at ₹1,945.5 crore, providing execution visibility into FY28. Management is confident in their strategic growth drivers, leveraging their role in the global energy transition.
