Sahyadri Industries delivered a robust Q1FY27. Total income grew 20.9% YoY to ₹261.3 Cr.
EBITDA surged 92.2% YoY to ₹41.7 Cr, boosting margins to 16.0%. Profit after tax jumped 145.4% YoY to ₹26.5 Cr, with EPS reaching ₹24.2. Capacity utilization improved to 103% from 93%. The company is aggressively expanding capacity with two new units: one in Orissa for Non-Asbestos Cement Boards (72,000 MTPA, ₹95 Cr) targeting Western & North India, and another in Maharashtra for Asbestos Corrugated Sheet (1,20,000 MTPA, ₹95 Cr) for Eastern markets.
Strategic focus includes increasing margin-rich value-added products and exploring new clients/geographies.
A new product, Swastik Sil Gold (coloured designer roofing sheets), was also launched.
Management notes strong performance despite geopolitical challenges impacting exports.
They maintain a positive FY27 outlook for the roofing sector, supported by sound financial discipline and strategic capital expenditure for future growth.
