PSB delivered a strong Q1FY27 performance.
Total business grew 15.27% YoY to ₹2.66 lakh Cr, fueled by 19.35% growth in advances (₹1.19 lakh Cr) and 12.16% in deposits (₹1.47 lakh Cr). Net profit for the quarter rose 23% YoY to ₹331 Cr.
Asset quality significantly improved, with Gross NPAs falling to 2.21% and Net NPAs to 0.65%. Return on Equity (ROE) was 10.85% and Return on Assets (ROA) 0.73%. The bank's strategy centers on digital-led growth, powered by five transformation pillars.
This includes aggressive expansion in Retail, Agri, MSME (RAM) loans (Retail up 36.44%, MSME up 32.71%), upgrading core banking systems to Finacle 10X, and scaling its PSB UnIC omni-channel app.
Recent developments include a ₹1,219 Cr QIP, ₹3,000 Cr Infra Bonds, and new green financing schemes like 'PSB GO-GREEN'. Management's outlook focuses on continuous modernization of operations, advanced risk management, and further enhancing digital customer journeys with UnIC 2.0.
