Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited is enhancing its renewable energy capabilities by integrating a 150 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with its existing solar power agreement.

This move involves a INR 165 Cr investment, securing a 26% stake in Serentica Renewable India 9 Private Limited (SRI9PL). The strategic aim is to ensure round-the-clock renewable power supply, reducing reliance on conventional power and supporting Vedanta's decarbonization goals.

This integration will provide reliable power, especially during non-solar hours.
