ICRA has assigned an [ICRA]AA+ (Stable) rating to Canara Bank’s Basel III Tier I bonds worth 4,500.00 Cr and reaffirmed existing ratings for its Basel III Tier I bonds of 11,000.00 Cr, Basel III Tier II bonds of 8,500.00 Cr, and certificates of deposit of 20,000.00 Cr.
Additionally, the rating for the Basel III Tier II bonds amounting to 3,000.00 Cr was reaffirmed and withdrawn following full redemption.
These credit evaluations reflect the lender's solid sovereign backing, robust capital position, stable earnings profile, and extensive retail deposit network supporting overall financial stability.
