Bank of Maharashtra has announced the appointment of Shri Saurabh Kumar, Joint Secretary at the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, as a Government of India Nominee Director on its Board.

He replaces Shri Abhijit Phukon with immediate effect.

Aged 42, Shri Saurabh Kumar is a 2009-batch IAS officer holding a B.Tech in Electronics and brings over 17 years of extensive administrative, urban development, revenue, and policy-making experience.

This board-level addition brings crucial administrative expertise to guide the bank's strategic governance and oversight moving forward.
