Lancer Container Lines has fallen victim to a cyber fraud incident involving impersonation via a fraudulent WhatsApp profile of the Managing Director, leading to unauthorized payments totaling 0.53 Cr (₹53,00,000) sent to third-party bank accounts across two transactions.

Fortunately, core business operations remain completely unaffected.

Management has engaged cybersecurity experts, notified bankers to freeze accounts and recall funds, and lodged a formal complaint with the Cyber Police Station in Navi Mumbai.
