IEX hit a record 13.94 BU electricity volume, up 20.2% YoY, driven by strong market demand and price hikes. India's energy consumption rose 12.85%. However, Renewable Energy Certificate volumes sharply declined 86.6% to 2.91 lakh units.
IEX's July'26 electricity traded volume rose 7.7% YoY to 13.53 BU, driven by strong RTM (+10.2%) and TAM (+93.4%) growth. India's higher energy demand (+10.9%) pushed Day-Ahead Market prices up 19.3% to Rs 4.99/unit. REC volumes declined 56.3%.
IEX reported strong Q1FY27 results: electricity volumes up 15.9% YoY to 37.5 BUs. Consolidated PAT grew 11.7% to Rs 134.8 Cr. The company will sell a 22.3% stake in IGX as part of its upcoming IPO.

IEX traded 12,983 MU electricity in May'26, up 18.6% YoY, driven by strong DAM (+25%) and RTM (+16%) growth amid record national power demand. Average DAM price rose 18.3% to Rs 4.88/unit. REC volumes declined 65% to 6.10 lakh.
