Power Grid Corporation of India Limited
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a Maharatna CPSU and India’s largest electric power transmission company. GoI holds a 51.34% stake in the company as on March 31, 2021. PGCIL was incorporated in 1989 to set up extra-high voltage alternating current and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines.

POWERGRID secured an inter-state transmission project for Gujarat's REZ Phase II on a BOOT basis, involving a new 765/400kV Lakadia-II Sub-station and lines. Annual Transmission Charges are Rs. 1,152.49 Cr.
POWERGRID won a significant BOOT contract for the Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV transmission system. This 6000 MW project, involving HVDC terminals and a 1000 km bipole line, carries annual transmission charges of Rs. 3,244.33 Cr.
POWERGRID incurred total fines of Rs. 0.23 Cr from BSE and NSE for not meeting board and committee composition requirements due to insufficient independent directors. As a government company, appointment powers rest with the President. POWERGRID has requested a waiver for these fines.
POWERGRID secured an Inter-State Transmission System project for integrating 6500MW of RE power in Gujarat. This Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) project has a discovered annual tariff of Rs. 822.91 crore, enhancing future revenue streams.
POWERGRID's board committee approved a ₹856.94 Cr investment for reconductoring Tirunelveli-Udumalpet and Pugalur-Madurai 400kV D/c lines with HTLS conductor. The project aims for commissioning within 24 months, enhancing grid efficiency.
