Ramco Cements will cease paying Mineral Bearing Land Tax of Rs. 160 per tonne of limestone. This tax previously cost Rs. 171.78 Cr and Rs. 79.07 Cr. This operational change is expected to significantly reduce costs, boosting profitability and cash flows.
Ramco Cements' 1QFY27 revenue rose 10% YoY to 2,276 Cr, but PAT plunged 63% to 31.86 Cr. Higher input costs and a 39 Cr TN land tax impacted profitability. Cement sales grew 12% YoY to 44.80 Lac Tons. Co. plans 31 MTPA capacity, 800 Cr FY27 capex.
Ramco Cements saw cement sales grow 12% to 4.48 million tons, with revenue up 10% to Rs. 2,276 Cr. Despite this, EBITDA fell 22% to Rs. 314 Cr, impacted by increased fuel/packing costs and a Rs. 39 Cr mineral tax. PBT was Rs. 42 Cr.
Ramco Cements has generated Rs. 1,106.47 Cr from the disposal of non-core assets. This includes a recent realization of Rs. 25.65 Cr, adding to earlier monetizations and boosting the company's financial position.
