Everest Kanto Cylinder (EKC) has received an order from the Customs authority, demanding differential duty and penalty totaling approximately ₹1.33 crore.

This demand relates to an alleged misclassification of imported raw materials.

EKC intends to appeal the order with the Customs, Excise, Service Tax Tribunal (CESTAT). The company has stated that this order is not expected to have any material financial or operational impact.
